2026 Groups

In 2026, the team at Beanies Family Support is excited to be launching a range of new social-based groups designed to support children and young people to grow, connect, and thrive.

Our groups focus on building real-world skills in a relaxed, supportive, and engaging environment. Each group is intentionally designed to support participants to develop:

CEG  is a structured, small-group 10-week term-time program designed for children who benefit from learning and practising social and emotional skills within a supportive group environment.

CEG is delivered by Beanies Family Support’s Counsellor, drawing on therapeutic principles and social-emotional learning frameworks. Throughout the program, emotional language is modelled, interactions are gently scaffolded, and children are supported to build practical skills in a way that feels fun, achievable, and meaningful.

CEG level 2 is an invitation-only, small-group 10-week term-time program designed for children who benefit from a more intensive and individualised approach to developing social and emotional skills.

CEG+ is suited to children who require more focused therapeutic support than a standard group program, while still benefiting from the motivation, connection, and learning that comes from shared play.

The programmed activities are all the same fun things plus a more focused intervention.

We wish to acknowledge and respect the traditional custodians of the land we are on today, the palawa/pakana (Tasmanian Aboriginal) people. We recognize their continuing connection to land, water, and community, and pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging. We acknowledge the deep cultural significance of these lands for the Aboriginal community here in Tasmania.Through this acknowledgement, we express our gratitude for the opportunity to gather and share knowledge on this Country. We also commit to learning about the history, culture, and contributions of Tasmania's First Peoples and to fostering an environment of respect, unity, and recognition
